| Queen’s day 2010 | Koninginnedag 2010 | Amsterdam NL | by Brian Kragtwijk |

Every year, most often on April 30, the Dutch people celebrate the day of national unity, the day that Queen Juliana ascended her trone in 1949 and a tribute to her birthday that same day. The “Orange Craze“ - national color referring to the Royal family name - is visible everywhere: freemarket, open air concerts, and the night before. Amsterdam has one of the bigest celebrations party - it takes place in parks, in the streets and on the canals. People from over the world participate as well. Nikon D300s
