Bach after Vivaldi: BWV 596 Concerto in D minor - Emmeran Rollin

Emmeran Rollin performs the finale of JS Bach’s third trio sonata BWV 527 on Rocamadour’s Grand Orgue Daldosso. This first opus from the Festival de Rocamadour collection focuses on works by Johann Sebastian Bach from different registrations. This choice was made to introduce the musical kaleidoscope of the instrument. All the colors and all the possibilities of the Rocamadour organ are on display. On the one hand, the sound power of the organ with the two Toccata and fugue is placed in the introduction and conclusion. On the other hand, the opus exhibits softer and more refined works such as the Chorales Schübler. Finally, the album reveals the concertante side of the organ and the fact that Bach was a transcriptionist of the Concerto in D minor and the Sonata in Trio No. 3
