In the competition organized by the Lions Club of Kapilvastu at Rajapani, a tourist spot located in Banganga Municipality 3, he managed to win the title after taking 1 tenth and 56 seconds to cross the 52 meter track. Anis Tamang from Dharan came second. He crossed the prescribed distance in 1 minute and 25 seconds. Similarly, Subham Bhattai of Kapilvastu from Kapilvastu came third.
