Is it Wrong to Hate Your Brother?

In the Bible, there is a verse that writes, “You shall not hate your brother in your heart“ (Leviticus 19:17). It is a crucial instruction because, without love for one another, we face the risk of being destroyed. If we take the Jewish people as an example, we are known for our internal disputes. The well-known expression “two Jews, three opinions” is usually employed jokingly, but it holds a kernel of truth. We are an opinionated, clever, and stubborn nation, and developing a strong connection above this character might seem like an impossible feat. But despite our apparent impossibility to unite, if we prioritize love over our differences and unite “as one man with one heart,” then our unity possesses immense strength. During difficult times, like in moments of crisis, we have seen our nation come together. The outpouring of love and unity in such moments is incredibly special. It is the missing “beat“ that we should always have between us. Moreover, our unity holds
