As we examine our Lord and savior Jesus Christ at a very critical point in his ministry Jesus began taking his disciples into deeper teaching, deeper truth, deeper Revelations. And it would seem that as the Lord took his disciples into deeper words from God they would have appreciated and drawn closer to him but just the opposite took place as Jesus took his disciples into deeper truths from God, many of his disciples turned and no longer followed him.
