“The Red Report with Herbert A. Philbrick” is a 1960s-era (probably 1962-63) American anti-Communist propaganda film. The 20 minute black and white film, according to its host, seeks to expose the tactics used by “the Reds” to attract Americans - specifically American youths - to Communism. The film is presented by Herbert A. Philbrick, a Boston area advertising executive who was paid by the FBI to infiltrate the Communist Party USA between 1940 and 1949. His involvement began when he joined a Communist front group in Cambridge, Massachusetts, the Cambridge Youth Council. His story was dramatized in the Ziv Television Programs series “I Led Three Lives.“
