Sergei Rachmaninoff (1873-1943) Lilacs, Op. 21, No. 5. Composed in 1902, the song was adapted into solo piano transcription around 1913 by Rachmaninoff himself. The solo piano version was often used as an encore piece by the composer. Nikolai Lugansky, piano, 1994 Tchaikovsky Competition Encore.
