Earthquake of magnitude 6.8 in El Salvador

An earthquake of magnitude 6.8 was recorded on the coast of El Salvador, Honduras and Nicaragua in Central America and the Pacific Ocean. The tremors occurred 66 kilometers south of El Espino beach, at a depth of 51 kilometers. There is no tsunami threat for El Salvador. Since the magnitude 6.8 earthquake that rocked El Salvador was recorded at 6:22 pm on Tuesday, the observatory of the Ministry of the Environment recorded a total of 104 aftershocks up to 6:00 am this Wednesday.
