The Impersonator - A Glimpse Of Vernon Watson Behind The Scenes (1922)

Vernon Watson - the impersonator - is seen “behind the scenes“. Venon comes into his dressing room and takes off his jacket and tie - assisted by his “dresser“. He puts on his make-up, wig and jacket for an impression of George Robey. He raises his glass in a toast. He then takes a cane from his dresser and rushes out of the room. We then see him in a top hat doing a drunken dance in impersonation of Harry Weldon. Then he impersonates Fred Emney - bringing back the immortal “Mrs May“. He dresses in drag as an old grumpy woman.
