India records highest daily COVID deaths

India has reached a grim milestone with its highest daily total of COVID deaths. Nearly 4,000 deaths have been reported from Covid in the past 24-hours, the highest total since the pandemic began. The actual total of deaths is thought to be unknown as many deaths are going unrecorded. The UK has just announced that it will send 1,000 more ventilators, but there are calls for the government to do more.
