3 Lithium Liners, Translating and Compressing an FRC target 3D view

3 Lithium liners converging on an FRC target. Liners are accelerated with a pulsed magnetic field of 12 Tesla to approximately 2000 m/s. Total liner mass of 384 grams. Shown is an ANSYS Explicit Dynamics simulation of the acceleration, compression, and final stagnation of the 3D liners. A representative plasma target is added for liner dwell time estimates.
