Ukraine conducts live fire drills to train troops near Belarus border

Ukrainian forces held combat drills in northern Zhytomyr region on Tuesday (January 30) on a snow-covered training ground near the Belarus border. Foreign nationals serving in the international legion, as well as border guards and the national guard took part in the drills together with the regular military. Service members held live-fire exercises on an entrenched battlefield training ground, training medical evacuation as well as flying attack- and reconnaissance drones. The northern command of the Ukrainian army regularly holds drills along the border with Russia and Belarus in the country’s north.
