The Best of Times Solo by John Petrucci

This is a part of “The Best of Times“, track #5 of Black Clouds & Silver Linings of Dream Theater. The song was written by Mike Portnoy for his dad, as he was dying of cancer. Celebrates Mike Portnoy’s relationship with his father. A version featuring Portnoy on vocals can be found on the Wither EP, and was played to Howard Portnoy on his hospital bed and at his funeral. It has not been played live yet as it is still too emotional for Portnoy.
