The Dalton Girls (1957)

Coffeyville October 5, 1892. The Dalton Gang tried robbing two banks simultaneously across the street from one another in one of the great outlaw shootouts. By the end of it two of the Dalton brothers were dead, and an undertaker, Mr. Slidell (Glenn Dixon), charges admission to view their bodies. When Holly (Merry Anders) and Rose (Lisa Davis) Dalton, daughters of one of the brothers, come to claim the bodies for burial, Holly is assaulted by the lecherous Slidell and uses a shovel to kill him in self-defense. Holly and Rose now find themselves on the run from the law and Detective Hiram Parsh (Ed Hinton), a private detective who has been pursuing the brothers for several years, feels obliged to bring them to justice. Six years later, Holly and Rose are living in Eastern Colorado under assumed names and planning a stagecoach robbery with the assistance of their two younger sisters, Columbine (Penny Edwards) and Marigold (Sue George), who have returned from school in the East.
