’crocked’ But Cheerful (1916)

’Crocked’ but cheerful - wounded Welsh soldiers at Netley Hospital (in Hampshire?) organise a ’route march’ - 1916. Another cheerful wounded story. Welsh wounded at Netley Hospital organise a march. CU man with wounded leg being lifted into one-man cart. GV same guy in 3-wheeled cart; holding reins and bouncing in his seat. The procession begins: behind the first cart a wicker wheelchair and then a wicker bed on wheels are hooked up; a man helps push behind the latter. Soldiers and doctors watch. More wheelchairs; and beds or chaises on wheels follow. Front view of the expedition: the animal pulling the cart is a strange beast that looks like a cross between a donkey and a small shaggy pony (think it’s a donkey - SL); a man with arm in sling holds the bridle. Quite a lot of wheelchairs; and in back; crippled men walking with canes; etc. Casualties. Medical. World War One. 368A FILM ID: A VIDEO FROM BRITISH PATHÉ.
