Gigi Hadid Fans BLAST Her for Using Palestinian Heritage to Get Famous

Gigi Hadid is celebrating yet another modeling milestone - she’s the landed the cover for Vogue Arabia’s , her first time being featured in the magazine. But Gigi is being scolded by her fans for cultural appropriation. See, the model’s face on the magazine is covered by a view, which is traditionally worn in middle eastern countries. Fans though thought the look the inappropriate. Gigi debuted the cover herself this morning on her instagram account sharing the striking image and a heartfelt message about Vogue Aribia’s very first issue. I think the beautiful thing about there being international Vogue’s is that, as a fashion community, we are able to celebrate and share with the world, different cultures she wrote. Being half palestinian, it means the world to be to be on the first ever cover of Vogue Arabia.
