According to Wikipedia, The Sacred War was one of the most famous Soviet songs of the Second World War. I love the version sung by Elena Vaenga. I tried swinging meel to this song. It is very difficult!
The music is in 3/4 time, i.e. 3 beats to the bar. It also has a cadence of 82 beats per minute. By doing 2 count swings in 3 beats, I can bring the average club swinging cadence down to 2/3 of 82, about 54.
Things did not work out like this. I found that I would do a two count swing in about 2.5 beats. Then both clubs would rest (both clubs vertical) for half a beat. At the end of the third beat, I would initiate the next move.
