Depeche Mode – Stripped (Live from 101) HD

Depeche Mode – Stripped Live from Music For The Masses Tour; 101: A Concert for the Masses at Rose Bowl, Pasadena, CA, 18th June 1988 Disclaimer: there are very minor syncing issues from around 00:48 to 02:59. I will fix this and update the master recording in the future. This upload marks the 35th anniversary of the concert featured in ’101’. Alan Wilder is credited for coming up with the name ’101’. The show was the final—and 101st—night of the ’Music For The Masses Tour’, and was also situated in Pasadena, where the nearby highway was coincidentally ’U.S. Route 101’. The full film was directed by D. A. Pennebaker as a rockumentary about the band’s final leg of the tour supporting the album release ’Music For The Masses’ (1987). The concert had sold 66,233 tickets, and had an attendance of 60,452 people. In interviews, Depeche Mode have acknowledged the performance as a key moment in their career. And it has been understood that the concert was also a milestone in the development of alternative music. Song line-up: Alan Wilder – Keyboards (backing melodies), Percussion Pads, Vocals Andrew Fletcher – Keyboards (saw bass, sound effects) David Gahan – Vocals Martin Gore – Keyboards (lead melodies), Percussion Pads, Vocals Lyrics: Come with me Into the trees We’ll lay on the grass And let the hours pass Take my hand Come back to the land Let’s get away Just for one day Let me see you stripped down to the bone Let me see you stripped down to the bone, oh yeah Yea-oh Hey Metropolis Has nothing on this You’re breathing in fumes I taste when we kiss Take my hand Come back to the land Where everything’s ours For a few hours Let me see you stripped down to the bone Let me see you stripped down to the bone, oh yeah Let me hear you make decisions Without your television Let me hear you speaking just for me, yeah Let me see you stripped down to the bone (Let me hear you speaking just for me) Let me see you stripped down to the bone (Let me hear you crying just for me) Let me see you stripped down to the bone (Let me hear you speaking just for me) Let me see you stripped down to the bone, yeah, woah (Let me hear you crying just for me) © 1989 Mute Film (Mute Records Ltd) © 1989 Grabbing Hands Music Ltd I have made edits to the intro and outro of this video, however 00:48 to 05:39 is largely unaltered footage.
