Loggerhead Sea Turtle Nest Hatchling Emergence! A Nest Boil! Super Special! Super Rare!

A Loggerhead (Caretta caretta) Sea Turtle Nest explodes with emerging hatchlings during a strong & beautiful Saharan Dust sunrise! Did you know that our beaches in Central & Southeast Florida are the number 1 nesting ground in the entire world for Loggerhead sea turtles! Our local beaches are extremely important to the global population of loggerhead sea turtles. Also, due to excellent conservation work over the years, our beaches now see a large and growing percentage of Green sea turtles (Chelonia mydas) nesting. This is why it is so important to keep the beaches clean, flat, & dark at night! The worldwide population relies upon it. ***PLEASE NOTE*** It is unethical and illegal to approach a sea turtle or any other threatened or endangered species. All footage was filmed using a zoom function or lens to keep a good distance from the turtles. You should never ever get close enough to an animal to alter its behavior.
