Dick Turpin (1957)

Wivelsfield Green, Sussex. L/S of a man on a horse half hidden by some trees, he is the actor Ronald Shiner. M/S of Ronald dressed as Dick Turpin, he is carrying two pistols. L/S of an old fashioned carriage driven by a coachman. In it is a man dressed up in mayoral robes holding a sceptre. The coach is being pulled by two donkeys. C/U of the mayor, the camera pans down over his robes. L/S of the coach as it rides out of shot. L/S of the highwayman riding the horse out of the trees. M/S of the highwayman riding down a path and out onto the road, several people are stood about watching. The narrator says this robbery is being staged by the Donkey Club of Wivelsfield Green for charity. C/U of the mayor in the coach. L/S as Ronald rides up behind him and pulls out his pistol. The mayor stands up and puts his hands up, he then takes off his hat and his mayoral chain and hands it to Ronald who hooks it over his pistol, he then turns to ride away. C/U of a Bus Stop sign.
