LIVE: Lavrov and Sierra Leones FM give news conference in Moscow

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and his Sierra Leonean counterpart David John Francis hold a joint press conference after a bilateral meeting in Moscow on Monday, May 17. The top diplomats are expected to exchange views on topical bilateral, regional and global issues with the focus on crisis management, combatting terrorism in Africa and countering the spread of dangerous infectious diseases. According to Russia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the ministers will also discuss prospects for reforming the UN Security Council (UNSC), as well as issues related to further advancing Russian-African cooperation in the context of preparations for the second Russia-Africa Summit in 2022.
