Automatic welding system for washing machine drums - Leas Industrial Automation

The choice of automation with rolling welding heads in oil bath allowed, first of all, to make the welding process safe and sustainable, while at the same time ensuring a high level of performance. At the same time, LEAS has created a dedicated automation with customized welding heads, which can be perfectly implemented in the existing plant, avoiding the customer other temporarily unnecessary investments. The new welding heads - upper and lower - were designed internally by the LEAS technical team, which created a dedicated roller technology for this application. The small size of the weld caused a significant constraint in the realization of an oil-bath automatic rolling head, due to the limited transfer capacity and the need to integrate the components necessary for the application in small spaces. The synergy between the customer team and the LEAS team, dedicated to the project, proved to be a winning one, as it is always open to discussion in order to achieve the project objectives. The ideal concept was maintained during all stages of development and implementation, without modifying in any way the design assumptions of the proposal made to the customer. “The added value that we delivered to the customer with this project was not only in the research for the best solution and in the custom realization, but in the ability to conceive it starting from the customer’s process, despite all technical restrictions.
