Using footage from Majin Tantei Nougami Neuro, a re-invention of the series to the music of Bon Jovi’s “You Give Love A Bad Name“ from his Slippery When Wet album. As a project for English 147A, Theories on Adaptation, I chose to focus on the relationship between Neuro and Yako in the anime. Handled differently and more explicitly than the manga, while I wouldn’t call Yako’s affections for Neuro love, she is portrayed as more deeply concerned with his well being in the anime than the manga.
