FROM busting drug rings to recruiting prison informants and guarding notorious serial killers, Dame Vanessa Frake-Harris has lived a life few could imagine. During a 27-year career, the former prison governor, 62, of Cambridgeshire, spent time between famous lock-ups HMP Holloway and HMP Wormwood Scrubs. Vanessa, who received an MBE for her work in 2012, has come face-to-face with vile offenders many would consider “monsters” - but to her, they were “nothing special”.
