Mini boring tool in carbon steel - main video to follow

I needed to cut an M14 internal thread and required a more rigid tool holder. This one is produced from silver steel (drill rod) to improve stiffness yet be able to reach to full depth. It holds a 1/8in diameter high speed steel bit which can be more accurately ground to profile and replaced when necessary. The height has been optimised for my lathe hence the eccentric turning.
