Huge explosions strike Hamas headquarters

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has said 320 targets were hit in the Gaza Strip between October 22 and 23 as its assault continued following Hamas’ October 7 attack. The IDF said the targets included tunnels, “dozens of operational headquarters”, and military compounds used by Hamas. Hamas released two further hostages for “humanitarian reasons“ following mediation efforts by Qatar and Egypt. The Palestinian terror group on Monday set free 85-year-old Yocheved Lifshitz and 75-year-old Nurit Cooper. Israel confirmed the number of hostages being held by Hamas has risen to 222. Hamas claimed 22 hostages have died in Israeli airstrikes. The United States pushed Israel to delay its ground invasion into Gaza to buy more time for hostage negotiations.
