October 2022. In the centre of Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan. This is where Arabic and Russian cultures meet, among others. Tashkent is with three million people the largest city in Central Asia. The name means City of Stones. It was destroyed several times throughout its history, in 1219 by Genghis Khan and in 1966 by an earthquake, it was rebuilt each time, the last time as a model Soviet city
