Four Seasons, Antonio Vivaldi - Summer “STORM“ Tjaša Kastelic, violin My dear Maestros, saying goodbye to summer on the last day of summer 2024 with the 3rd movement of The Four Seasons by Antonio Vivaldi is a real pleasure for me! Vivaldi’s Storm from The Four Seasons vividly captures the chaos and power of a storm through intense violin runs and dramatic shifts in dynamics. In this presentation of Vivaldi’s Storm, four figures, each dressed to represent the changing seasons, run frantically from the raging storm and turbulent sea, symbolizing the music’s wild energy. Their escape leads them to a cave, where I find refuge, reflecting moments of safety and calm amidst the storm’s intensity, much like how Vivaldi contrasts the turmoil with fleeting instances of serenity in the music.
