Episode 41: Can you ride beside the water from Leeds to Selby? | River Aire and Selby Canal vlog

Can you ride beside the water from Leeds to Selby, cycling beside the River Aire (Aire & Calder Navigation) and the Selby Canal all the way? We’ll answer that question for you. This adventure is all about brave Aire and Calder canal cycling, not fishing or riding a little circuit. Can you cycle along the River Aire? Can you cycle on the Selby Canal? Uh, yes and no. Thankfully, it wasn’t flooding... but almost everything else went wrong! The Selby Canal is known for its circular walk and paddle boarding. The connected River Aire is 148km long flowing from its source in the Yorkshire Dales near Malham to its confluence with the River Ouse near Goole. According to the Aire River Trust, this waterway “...runs through some of the most joyous and impressive countryside in the UK.“ We beg to differ. Come for a ride and find out what went wrong! 🚴😉🐃 xox Charlie and Penelope We love meeting and chatting
