Sultan Technique - Emergency stroke surgery for right hemiplegia

58 years old male presented with right hemiplegia, loss of sight in his left eye and dysarthria. Patient was rushed to surgery where he had emergency carotid thrombo endarterectomy. The thrombus was pulled down from the middle cerebral artery and the remainder of the thrombus was sucked by pediatrics bronchial suction. A heamo-shield patch closed the carotid artery. Patient recovered completely and discharged 48 hours post intervention.
