Male Alchemy - 1984

Being my likely favorite album from Male Alchemy, 1984 reflects on nostalgic memories from the summer of 84’ between your freshmen and sophomore year of high school. Memories of swimming in the lake with your friends, and getting lost in the local forest. Back in a time where there were no cellphones, and you had to make plans ahead of time. “They would routinely hang out every weekend to go swimming in that lake. One would build the courage to jump from the highest point of the cliff on a 5 dollar bet. After they would go swimming, they would get their clothes back on and make a campfire in the woods. They would gather around and exchange cliché ghost stories, but it was hilarious because they were a little high off some blunt that someone brought. And then they go silent and suddenly they’d hear a scream from the distance. One of them grabs a flashlight and they go searching for the source. They stumble upon a rotten and abandoned cabin.
