Review: The Wildey Survivor in 45 Winchester Magnum

This gun is famous for taking out the Giggler in Death Wish III (be sure to search Youtube for the clip, it’s hilarious). The Wildey was the first handgun on the commercial marketplace to feature a gas-operated semi-auto system, coming out years before the Desert Eagle. This particular example is in 45 Winchester Magnum, which is easily the most accessible chambering for the gun. Recoil is soft, although the high bore axis means muzzle flip is not inconsequential. The gas adjustment collar is a cool feature that adds some fun to range trips as you try to dial in the gun to manage recoil and reliability. While I do shoot the gun in this video, there are a couple longer, dedicated videos of this gun being fired uploaded by other Youtubers.
