600 Million Moslems AKA Caliph Of 600 000 000 Moslems (1924)

Transjordania (aka Jordan). C/U of a man with a white beard and dressed in traditional middle eastern clothing - probably King Hussein, recently made Caliph. Various men pass the Caliph bowing and kissing his hand, behind the Caliph stand several Arab men wearing military uniforms. M/S of the Caliph coming out a doorway followed by an entourage of dignitaries, outside the door several armed guards stand to attention, the Caliph and entourage briefly pause for a photograph before moving off camera. M/S of the Caliph standing by the roadside, he salutes as his troops march past him. M/S of a steam train pulling into a station, the carriages of the train are decorated with palm leaves. M/S of the Caliph’s car driving down a dusty road, men and boys on foot and on horseback chase behind it cheering wildly.
