Stare polskie tango: ’Złociste chryzantemy’

Golden chrysanthemums in a crystal vase are standing on my piano, soothing sorrow and regret. Through the silvery and misty tears I reach out my hands to them and whisper one question: why have you gone away? ................................ Probably the latest tango recorded at Warsaw Odeon, just before the outbreak of the WW2, 1939 by a tenor, Janusz Popławski. The song became through many years an evergreen sung by generations always and ever.
