Here’s how to set up a basic 3D camera projection in Game Maker Studio 2! The main thing to take away from this is how to use a view and projection matrix. It’s actually not that different from 3D in older versions of Game Maker, but it cuts out a lot of the super high-level abstraction. This means in some ways it’s easier to use, and in some ways it’s harder to use.
Hopefully people like this one better than the old one I did years ago. I’m (finally) going to do more with this in the coming weeks.
