Israel: Flag march takes place in city of Lod

Participants said they were there to show support for the experience of the Jewish population last May, during the Israeli military operation against Hamas in Gaza. One protester named Itamar Ben Gvir said, “I came to strengthen the local residents that suffer attacks and live in an insane reality in the heart of the country of Israel.“ Participants also celebrated the final night of the Jewish Hannukah celebration. The march stuck to the main part of the city and did not go through mixed Jewish and Arab neighbourhoods. No incidents were reported.
