Thy Faith Hath Made Thee Whole (1946)

Title reads: “Thy faith hath made thee whole“. Lourdes, France. L/S of the Holy Village of Lourdes. Various C/Us of pilgrims filing past the Shrine of the Blessed Virgin to pay homage. Some kiss the stone of the shrine, others kneel in prayer holding rosary beads. Amongst them are several nuns. All pilgrims are ex-inmates of Nazi concentration camps. Various shots mass holy communion given by 200 priests (themselves ex-prisoners). Various shots of religious parade passing crowd and leaders of Catholic church (cardinals?). Some of the men in the parade wear the striped jackets of concentration camp inmates. The parade passes group of sick people on stretchers and in wheelchairs. Very sombre, moving atmosphere.
