I think he’s also fomenting that. Putin and his team doing covert and overt meddling to undermine democracy and bribe political leaders is all a big part of how he sees his role. So when I see people repeating Russian talking points that were first made today about Russia, or that these are points that Putin has gotten, when I see Americans in positions of responsibility saying that we shouldn’t support the people of Ukraine, that they’re corrupt, I think, “Yeah, they’re trying very hard to be transparent and accountable and talk about corruption.“ Frankly, I don’t understand why Americans are siding with Putin.
