David, a high school senior, gets a scholarship to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, but since it’s only five thousand dollars he’ll probably have to give it up. However, his mother, a widow for 10 years, puts the house up for sale to fulfill his dream. At the suggestion of his friends he thinks of a scientific project that can be tested; helped by his sister, who records everything with a video camera, he searches the attic among the old projects of his father, a scientist in his spare time, and finds a project regarding a time machine. Partly for fun, partly for fun, David, together with his sister and friends, throws himself into building what could be the turning point in their lives. And, incredibly, the project is completed.
