I explain in this video how I landed my first data science job. After graduation with a master’s in computer science, I spent 10 months applying for data science jobs and sent 479 job applications on LinkedIn, Indeed, and dozens of other platforms. It was time consuming and frustrating to see no results (only 1 interview). In this video, I’m sharing what didn’t work for me but also what worked and I hope this could inspire you to think differently about your data science job search journey.
Data science and computer science in general are super in demand in the tech industry. For you to stand out you need to do things differently from others. Doing a bunch of data science projects won’t be enough to land the data science job you always dreamed of. There’s a lot of technical but also the non-technical that matters in data science. My aim is to help you with that.
