“Five Feet Apart“ by Brian Tyler and Breton Vivian [OFFICIAL]

Here is the main theme for “Five Feet Apart“ recorded at Brian Tyler’s studio in LA. Video shot by Aris Stoulil. Soundtrack available on Lakeshore Records: In Five Feet Apart seventeen-year-old Stella (Richardson) spends most of her time in the hospital as a cystic fibrosis patient. Her life is full of routines, boundaries and self-control -- all of which get put to the test when she meets Will (Sprouse), an impossibly charming teen who has the same illness. There’s an instant flirtation, though restrictions dictate that they must maintain a safe distance between them. As their connection intensifies, so does the temptation to throw the rules out the window and embrace that attraction. Says Tyler: “It was incredibly rewarding composing the score for FIVE FEET APART, a beautiful story of love and life in the face of impossible odds. The music needed to reflect the indomitable human spirit of its main characters who find love while combating a terminal disease that literally steals one’s breath; cystic fibrosis. The music needed to be raw and honest, understated and powerfully emotional. We treated the score like a concept indie album with reverberated canopies of guitars, ethereal synths and voices, bells, detuned upright pianos, pump organs, and other instruments. The warmth of these instruments contrasted with the cold halls of the hospital setting, while reflecting the warmth of the humanity that inhabits those halls. Like life itself, we are all breathing borrowed air and that melancholy idea was one of the driving themes of the music.” “At its core, the music represents both the heart and lungs and is a celebration of life itself. The breathing aspect to the music is a theme throughout the album until the very last long extended chord, a major keyed final exhale,” continued Tyler. Says Baldoni: “Brian Tyler is one of those rare-gifted humans that directors dream about getting the honor to work and collaborate with. The size and scope of his talent is nothing short of awe inspiring, but what makes Brian so unique is that his heart and drive to use his talent to impact humanity is equally as brilliant. I couldn’t be more grateful to have had the great privilege of working with him as I really believe the score in this film can help us all make that long journey from our heads to our hearts.” Movie directed by Justin Baldoni #FiveFeetApart #BrianTyler #FilmScore
