Driving without a licence defendant joins court case call - while driving his car
A man accused of driving without a licence dialed into his courtroom appearance via Zoom from behind the wheel of a car.
Corey Harris, 44, appeared on the screen before a dumbfounded courtroom discussing his case in which he had been banned from holding a licence.
“Mr Harris, are you driving?” Washtenaw County Judge Cedric Simpson asked from the courtroom as he stared at the camera with a confused look on his face.
“I’m pulling into my doctor’s office actually,” Harris told the judge as he casually turned the steering wheel, adding that he would be ready for the hearing in “one second”.
