A Hungarian Holiday (1930)

Introductory intertitle reads: “On the great plains of Hungary where houses may be miles apart, and young people store up their energy for week-end merry-making in the village.“ Travelogue. L/S of group of women in national dress. A horse drawn cart draws up and other elaborately dressed women get out. Various shots of the women in their finery. “For gaudy taste in festive raiment, the Hungarian has no equal among his sex!“ M/S of three men posing - they hold hands. “The women’s get-up isn’t exactly standard, either. Hair-dressing for instance...“ L/S of woman posing hand on hip. She turns to show us the back of her dress and her long plaited hair. A man offscreen uses a stick to lift the woman’s plait away from her back to display it to the camera. “In a week a lot of gossip can accumulate.“ L/S of three women sitting on a bench.
