Bio By She Rox All Female Bands: The Beaches are a Toronto, Canada based indie rock band, who began as a pop rock band called Done With Dolls in 2010, with sisters, lead vocalist and bassist Jordan Miller, and lead guitarist Kylie Miller, along with drummer Eliza Enman-McDaniel and guitarist Megan Fitchett, the band was signed to Disney and gained a large following for their upbeat pop rock, however unhappy with the direction of the band and the bubble gum image it became, the band morphed into a harder edge indie rock and added keyboardist and guitarist Leandra Earl, this line-up would solidify the band’s sound a musical shift that has proven to be paying off. The Beaches have gained a large fan base that has exceeded beyond Canada thanks in part to 2013’s self titled debut Ep, and the lead off single, “Loner“ a radio friendly yet punch of rock that has been called innovative and modern yet with old school vibe of such artist as Patty Smith and the Runaways. By 2014, the band released the Ep “Heights“, along with touring and playing shows from the Warped tour and NXNE to mention a few, the band has held their own as seasoned musicians regardless of age or playing to hundreds or thousands of fans at one time. The Beaches released their much anticipated debut full length album in 2017, “Late Show“ , an indie rock gem from start to finish is further proof that the Beaches are leading a new wave in current day music.
