World First APES BWL: Maitoz POV - WoW Classic, Blackwing Lair

WoW Classic: Blackwing Lair launch!! Watched this live and it was crazy. Uploading this to share some epic WoW Classic memories. (Read more) APES, lead by Maitoz, were eager to be the first guild to defeat the final boss Nefarian. However, in true Blizzard style, the raid launch was filled with bugs and drama. Story: APES decided to start the raid via the Upper Blackrock Spire portal because of the regular teleporting orb being too overrun with Horde, lag, and World PVP (being on the largest server, Gehennas-EU). However at the midnight raid launch, APES couldn’t zone into the instance (because Blizzard), while the players using the orb could. It took APES 7 minutes to finally get into the raid. Amongst all this instance and raid confusion, Zulp got ported to Stormwind causing APES to start with 39/40 members while he flew back to Blackrock Mountain. APES were now 7 minutes behind the guilds Progress and Calamity, who had been practicing extensively on private se
