Mars Rover Tracks & Dust in Blender

Putting a rover on Mars in real life is definitely not an easy feat. Howver in Blender it’s really not that hard. Follow along with this tutorial, stick around and I’ll show you how it’s done in Blender. In this video we’ll be going over topics such as creating a landscape, or mars terrain if you will, scattering rocks on our landscape using a weightpaint map, adding materials, setting up dynamic paint rover tire tracks, creating dust particle simulations for the tracks and compositing the entire thing together with a Mist Pass. Free Basefile for this tutorial can be downloaded here: The Rover model is from Sketchfab and can be found here; HDRI of Mars (4K), done by Paroxid on Reddit, image credits to NASA Full project for this tutorial can be downloaded here for $2: Credits for the Rock models go to Andrea Spognetta and aaron_nerlich on Sketchfab. --------------------
