Meet the workers who crashed the 2023 Game Awards

Video game workers picketed the 2023 Game Awards in protest of sizable layoffs. Some 8,000 workers were laid off in the industry this year, despite record-breaking projected profits of $180 billion for 2023. The picket, organized by the working group Game Workers of Southern California, marks another step forward in the fight to organize workers and unionize the industry.
