Guidone - for shake 1965 pop, Garage LP Guidone for shake -- Parlophone, PMGC 101 (Greek pressing) Guidone is one of many other foreign artists who used to visit Greece , usually during the summer and make appearences in the local those visit they managed to leave some fine recordings examples are Ricardo Credi & Toni Pinneli,whose finest tracks shall be incuded in future releases. The Lp includes mostly shaking rhythms,very popular at this period to the Greek and Italian youngsters,as well as an impressive remake of “The house of the rising Sun“ in the Italian version “ La Casa Del Sole“ watch out for it in afuture release. 1960 is the year of his debut record; the previous year he wrote and recorded a series of songs, including the cover of Hello I’ll tell you (by Giorgio Gaber) and your kiss is like a rock (by Adriano Celentano). The first appearance on the small screen is in 1959, at the television show Il Musichiere where he shares the scene with Tony Dallara, Mina (at the time Baby Gate), Ghigo, Brunetta and others. Later he reappears on TV at the Giardino d’estate broadcast. During the festivals he obtains favorable consents, often dictated by the performance of songs by other contemporary screamer and foreign groups such as The Animals by Eric Burdon (mid-sixties, The House of the Rising Sun). Reincide songs by Fred Buscaglione, Adriano Celentano, Giorgio Gaber, Ghigo and others, editions published on 45 rpm vinyl, even in extended play (3 or more songs on record). Participated in the “Rock and Roll Festival“ in Rome in 1961 and re-enacts the rock and roll Coccinella di Ghigo. In 1962 he is with Ricky Gianco and Don Backy, who enter the Celentano Clan; the following year he took his leave of the Clan to give life to the Guidone group and his friends who perform a series of appreciable concerts. At the same time Guidone, using musical bases created by Ghigo and the Goghi, includes the clone twist Peppermint Twist (original song by Joe Dee and Henry Glover) and Baby twist me, previously recorded and arranged by Ghigo. In 1963 he took part in the Twist festival in Milan together with Anna Poli, Ricky Gianco, Riz Samaritano, Betty Curtis, Clem Sacco, Ghigo and many others. In 1964 he was a bassist in the band Ghigo and i Goghi, then he was supporter of the Beatles at the Vigorelli in Milan and the following year he re-recorded the beat Ciao di Ghigo (clone of Shout of Isley Brothers), previously published by Agosti. He makes a tour abroad and decides to settle in Greece; there opens a restaurant, then a destination for many passing artists, including the Beatles themselves, known years before during their concerts in Italy.
