Title reads: “This war of fire“. Italy, Mediterranean Sea and United States of America (USA). Various shots of mobile and static smoke generators in action in Italy. They lay a white smoke screen over surrounding countryside. The smoke provides concealment for allied armies troops and vehicles. Various L/Ss of an allied tanker at sea in the Mediterranean. Ship is on fire, leaking oil sets the sea alight around her. A fire float slowly nears the tanker to rescue crew huddled at stern. Various M/Ss of a lifeboat containing crew members being picked up. At testing range in America, various shots of soldiers firing phosphorous bombs from a mortar gun. The bombs land and emit large spray of white phosphorous. Various shots of demonstration of flame throwers in actions. Various aerial shots of bombers dropping 100 lb. and 200 lb. bombs.
