CARBON FIBER COOLNESS! Butler Trombones JJ Small Bore Trombone Review

David Butler and his Butler Trombones have been on our radar for over a decade; we’ve watched with great interest as he and his team have evolved from carbon fiber handslides to their initial trombone design and now their whole line of trombones, handslides, and accessories! We finally had the opportunity to bring his great instruments into the shop and they have exceeded our expectations! We decided to start our review with the Butler Trombone JJ model small bore tenor (with JJ Johnson being our favorite jazz trombonist how could we not!) Features a .508” bore carbon fiber handslide , an 8” carbon fiber bell in a classic King-style taper and many other features, this trombone packs a lot of finesse and power in an incredibly light package!
